ESO’s La Silla Observatory to Host New Planet Hunter

A new powerful instrument called NIRPS (Near Infra Red Planet Searcher) is to be installed on the ESO 3.6-metre telescope at the La Silla Observatory in Chile to detect and characterize exoplanets.

Echoes from our Solar System

Voyager 1 and 2: 40 years!

The two spacecrafts were sent 40 years ago, in 1977, to study the giant planets of the Solar System. After the flybys of the 4 planets, they continued their journey and are today the farthest man-made objects, reaching the limit of our Solar System.
