Information:
The Goldwater Scholarship is the nation’s most prestigious undergraduate award in the fields of science, technology, mathematics and engineering. Established by Congress to assure the United States of a continuing source of highly-qualified scientists, the Goldwater is awarded to outstanding second- and third-year undergraduates who intend to pursue STEM-discipline research careers.
ISU has a solid track-record of students winning this nationally-competitive award, including four students from the 2017-2018 academic year. Read more on their story at: http://www.news.iastate.edu/news/2017/04/05/goldwaterscholars.
The informational sessions will describe the scholarship, the application procedures, and the process by which ISU selects candidates for endorsement. If you’d like to “read ahead” of the meeting, take a look at the Goldwater Foundation site at: https://goldwater.scholarsapply.org/.
