The project advocates a hope that in 2019, the KY Wired network will provide broadband service to all state agencies, county courthouses and higher education institutions. Aging Services
Success Story

Ms. MH was a perfect example of how BRADD/AAAIL had successfully assisted our local elderly. When we first met her, she lived alone in a house that wasn't cleaned and filled with roaches. We were able to assist her with basic needs such as housekeeping, frozen meals, phone service, and getting her bills paid. Realizing that Ms. MH was diabetic and hadn't been taking her medication, we then connected her with the MD2U where a nurse practitioner would make a home visit to her once a month.

One day, during our visit, we found out that the client fell after the housekeeping aide had left. We had to contact the Sheriff's office to be able to break into her home. It was discovered that Ms. MH had been quickly advancing Dementia. Her family, who lived out of town, was contacted and granted Emergency Guardianship.

The client's health condition might have gone unnoticed if we had not been involved. Due to our frequent reports to Adult Protective Services, the client has been reunited with her family who will make sure she receives proper care and treatment. The ability to serve clients like Ms. MH is the reason why we work so hard to provide the best services possible to our clients.
