Graduates Growing in Integrity
SCI Rockview: 36 graduates
What a blessing to enjoy the graduation of 36 new LIFE students at SCI Rockview on Thursday, August 24. It was a treat to have Rev. Marvin Freed give the Keynote Address, and Chaplain Rev. Aaron Reitz lead us in prayer. Also, much appreciation to guests Mr. & Mrs. Ted Krocheski for visiting with us that night, and for the awesome Rockview Church choir!! SCI Rockview has been using our re-entry curriculum since 2005 and has graduated a total of 920 students since!!

Many 'thank-yous' to Pa. Senator John Eichelberger, Jr., of Blair County, who was our Keynote Speaker on August 10, at the SCI Houtzdale graduation where 23 men finished LIFE I, 2, 3 and 4. Special thanks to Superintendent Barry Smith and his assistants, and Chaplain Rev. Tim Miller for "rolling out the red carpet" for us. Special love to the faithful team of five volunteers - Ivan, Luke, Marlin, Daniel, and Omar - who give time and love to direct the program every week.

L.I.F.E.'s focus is to lead our inmates into living lives of godliness and integrity. Author Pat Williams says, "People of integrity demonstrate wholeness and completeness because their actions match their beliefs. They are the same person in public and in private. Their inner reality matches their outer reputation." What does that word 'integrity' actually mean? The word 'integrity' is widely used and widely misunderstood. The origin of the word comes from the Latin word, integer, which means "whole" or "complete."

Congratulations! Our newest Volunteer Team - Dean, Michelle, Sharon and Gary - took a step of faith as it opened the first LIFE Program at FCI Loretto on August 14! With 12 new students enrolled, we are eager to see God's direction and will be done in this new class of federal students. Thanks to Chaplain Rev. Martin Statler and Warden Bradley for their permission to implement the LIFE series.
