RUFC's Amazing 2016-2017 Year in Review

August 31, 2017 marked the end of RUFC's 2016-2017 year and what a year it was! All together, over $70,000 was raised for our programs including our first Youth Vision Trip, launch of our student-led small grant program, continuing student sponsorships, and of course our flagship event, the  2017 RUFC Soccer and Public Health Camp!  We've got lots of plans for 2017-2018 including launching new school clubs, expansion of activities to Mozambique, and continuation of our programs in Uganda. Be sure to follow along on social media and share our news with all your friends!

#RUFCCamp17 Surpasses All Expectations

After a whole year of fundraising (over $40,000 raised just for camp!) and hard work to organize, RUFC's Third Annual Soccer/Public Health Camp was held in Oyam, Northern Uganda on August 8-12. Over 1,000 youth benefited from a week of dancing, soccer, education, food, and fun.

We also reached over 300 people with HIV, Hepatitis B, blood sugar and blood pressure testing through a medical outreach on the final day of camp!

We'd like to say THANK YOU our delivery partners Global Health Network Uganda, Youth Rising/Youth At Work Initiative, Football for Good, and the University of Southern California Institute for Global Health.

We'd also like to THANK Albion San Diego for supplying full team jersey kits to all 21 schools participating in this year's camp!

You can see many more pictures on our website and read Ray's effort to capture the epic week in words on his Blog.
