Windy Ridge
Windy Ridge is a local Cottage Grove band that has been together for over 30 years. Five members of the group were born and raised here and the sixth is a welcomed transplant from South Carolina. Together they make up one of the longest enduring bands in the area.

The band consists of the Munsell brothers, Dave and Curt Munsell, Ken Bachelder (David's brother-in-law), Joe Tennis, Brian Gushwa, and Hal Holbrook. All band members but Brian, the drummer, do vocals. In addition to vocals Dave plays guitar and keyboard, Curt on congas and percussion, Ken (bass guitar), Joe (lead guitar), Brian (drums), and Hal (keyboard and guitar).

Windy Ridge's signature musical style blends Rock, Blues, Country and a little jazz. Their diverse playlist may include a song by Santana followed by Hank Williams, for example, flavored with some original tunes thrown in the mix. Windy Ridge will take a song and make it their own, make their own arrangement, or as they say, "Ridge it."

"We love performing and seeing folks have a good time to our music. We are appreciative of our reception from the hometown folks and we enjoy entertaining them at the Concert in the Park venue."
