The Barrie County Chordsmen Present...

The Maple Leaf Forever!

The Barrie County Chordsmen are proud to announce the theme of this year’s annual show – The Maple Leaf Forever!

The Chordsmen have been bringing the joy of a Capella music to listeners of all ages in Simcoe County for the past 41 years.  With Canada celebrating its 150th we wanted the theme for this year’s show to reflect our pride in this great country and what better symbol than that of the Maple Leaf!

This year’s show will once again be held at Hi-Way Church, 50 Anne Street North in Barrie on Saturday September 23rd at 2pm.

Our special guest performers for this show are “The Aristocrats”, a hilarious quartet from Toronto.  The four members of The Aristocrats; Bobby Gibson, John Mallett, Darryl Marchant and Dave Feltrin are all long time barbershop singers and members of the Toronto Northern Lights Chorus – the 2013 Barbershop Harmony Society International Chorus Contest gold medallists.  In 2014 they discovered that their common ancestors may or may not have been European nobility!  The boys started singing together, attempting to re-enact in song some of their families' more colourful moments, and all the while instilling their stereotypical aristocratic attitude into everything they perform.

Additional quartets performing will include “Shaken Not Stirred”, “Acapella Unplugged” and more!
