CMS Continues Medical EHR Incentive Program through 2021
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) would like to remind eligible professionals (EPs) and eligible hospitals that the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program, which is administered voluntarily by states and territories, will continue through 2021. New Data Sources Added to STI/HealtheConnections Results Delivery Interface
The three new sources are:
- Massena Memorial Hospital (Labs, Radiology, Transcription)
- Auburn Memorial Hospital (Labs, Radiology
- St Joseph's Hospital (Labs)
If your office was previously configured to receive results from HealtheConnections, these data sources have already been enabled for you. CMS Quality Payment Program Updates
Quality Payment Program Hardship Exception Application for the 2017 Transition Year Is Now Open
The Quality Payment Program Hardship Exception Application for the 2017 transition year is now available on the Quality Payment Program website. MIPS eligible clinicians and groups may qualify for a reweighting of their Advancing Care Information performance category score to 0% of the final score, and can submit a hardship exception application. Re-queue ERA Files
For providers looking to re-queue ERA files on 24/7 that are older than 90 days, you can go back beyond 90 days using VISION, however you can only print the EOBs, and they must be posted manually. This will enable you up to 15 months of ERA data from within Vision ERA manager view. However, if older payment information is needed, it does not allow a re-queue process. 24/7 limits are 90 days of ERA data,18 months of reports data, and 200 rows of report re-queue viewable by page.

ChartMaker Mobile Eliminates Paper Lists for Hospital Rounds
Tired of using a paper list of patients you need to see during your hospital rounds? Now with ChartMaker Mobile (version 6.2.4 due out Sept. 15th), there is a hospital rounds patient list that includes information like their DOB, room number, and date of admission by facility. ChartMaker Mobile will pull this information from the Hospitalization button under the Patient tab in Practice Manager.
Make sure to update patient hospitalization information discharge dates so that only current patient information is shown. Run the List Patient Hospitalization Report to help clean up old information!

New Medication History and Care Plan Features
With the CMMS 6.2.4 release, ChartMaker Clinical has been updated with a Medication History dialog that allows you to import Medication History for a patient from the SureScripts Network into the patient’s chart, and then reconcile that information with the medications that are currently in the patient’s chart.
In addition, a new Care Plan widget is now available to add to chart note templates, via the Template Editor, that allows you to add health status, impressions, assessments, health concerns, and health-related goals regarding a patient's care. When the Care Plan widget is accessed in a note, any previously entered information will be pulled into the new note, allowing you to add new information, as well as view, edit, and remove information entered previously. New Screening Widgets
Two valuable screening assessments, Falls Risk and Dementia, were added to the Clinical Screening Widget (Version 6.2.2). Depending how the screening button is configured in the template editor, all assessment questionnaires can be accessed in the Screening dialog when entering a progress note. For Payer Inquiry Module Users
If you have been missing the option to submit an approval from the patient tab, it is now back under the Payer Inquiries’ Eligibility Request tab. All you need to do is run the CMMS 6.2.4 upgrade and you will see the button at the bottom of the screen!

ICD-10 2018 Codes
The updated 2018 ICD-10 codes are in the CMMS 6.2.4 release. Offices will be required to update. The new codes go into effect 10/01/17. For additional information, click here.
