I'm not going to get everything done outside I want to this fall. I just know it. Maybe it'll be warm in November? With this super cool August it's possible! I've got shrubs to remove, tree limbs to cut down, gravel to spread, and napping in meadow to do.

If you're near Madison, WI on 9/17 I hope you'll come attend the stupendous native gardening conference at the UW Arboretum. I'll be giving the keynote address and will have my new books for sale. Register by 9/7 here.

And stay tuned for a special email on 9/11 -- release day for A New Garden Ethic -- which will include wonderful offers and the announcement of my launch event in Lincoln. If you follow me on social media you'll have seen, and will see more, party favors leading up to the release.
