NMC Beyond the Horizon > Ed Tech and the Evolving Roles of Faculty

September 20, 2017 | 12:00 - 1:00 pm CST
Free to All

Part-time and adjunct faculty are often tasked with teaching introductory and online classes; however, institutions do not always provide them with access to the same tools, resources, and training afforded to full-time and tenured faculty. Further, due to their temporary employment status, adjuncts face unique challenges in implementing new technologies and redesigning curricula. By understanding the needs of part time instructors and taking steps to support them, colleges and universities can help improve their teaching to benefit more students. Join us to hear from two presenters who are supporting these important faculty members and collaborate with fellow attendees to devise strategies with your colleagues.

This webinar is available free to all registrants thanks to support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation — for more information visit the NMC’s Digital Learning Initiative. Also be sure to pre-read the Scaling Solutions to Higher Education’s Biggest Challenges publication for greater insight into the challenges discussed in this year’s webinar series.
