It's okay. It's okay. It's okay.

I keep telling myself that.

There's a million things to do right now, and just so little time to do it all.

On that note, you may have noticed a lack of these newsletters since the beginning of the year.

I'd love to make a good excuse about it, but that was unfortunately on purpose.

Let me explain.

That's what I've been almost 100% focused on since January.

It's what's to blame for the lack of @frontendtesting tweets and newsletters.

I had to give up almost all my side commitments to get that course done, because I knew it was the most important goal I had for 2017.

What the heck does this have to do with Front-end Testing, aside from the silence?

Everything.

Front-end Testing is not the most important thing.

If a beautiful, well-designed site goes live and it doesn't have a single unit test or is a bit slow performance wise, it's probably still going to be a success.

That's okay.

We need to understand that Front-end Testing is important, but it's not the most important.

Actual, functional, useful things are.

Front-end Testing can be useful. It can save downtime and improve sites greatly. 

But without the site; without the functionality, it's useless.

So if you've been struggling to get in the flow of testing and feeling bad about it, just repeat to yourself, "It's okay. It's okay. It's okay."

Rome wasn't built in a day, and amazing websites aren't developed in an afternoon.

Dream about a beautiful test suite, or how much easier a functional test suite could make your deploys, but realize they're just things. 

In other words, don't lose sleep over it.

Think about testing, try your best to incorporate it, but don't fret the small stuff.

Testing is a "small" detail. 

Be okay with that :)
