 The roots of polka run deep in Cleveland, and we're exited to feature an all star lineup of traditional Oktoberfest acts. If you love the big brass bands, we're thrilled to present Donaushwaben Blaskapelle, Deutscher Musik Verein, and Gottscheer Blaskapelle. And if you love polka, well, you've come to the right place. From Polka Hall of Fame inductee Fred Ziwich and his International Sound Machine, to Oktoberfest favorites like The Klaberheads and The Chardon Polka Band, and newcomers like Schnikelfritz, The Brian Papesh Band, and The Alex DeLeon Oktoberfest Family Band, The Cleveland Oktoberfest has some of the best authentic German entertainment around.

Sunday, Sept 3rd at Dusk
While Oktoberfest is always a blast, it will be an even bigger, brighter blast Sunday night as we host our annual Fireworks Spectacular. A family favorite attraction, bring the kids out and enjoy the show which will kick off just after dusk.
 SAND SCULPTOR CARL JARA
All Week
Carl Jara holds nine World Championship medals, at least three dozen medals from other contests, and has been featured twice on Sand Blasters on the Travel Channel. He's worked and competed in eleven countries, more than two dozen states, and continues to carve out his living in sand.
In addition to sculpting, he accepted the position of Exhibits Artisan/Technician at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, where he gets to use his creative skills in a completely different manner. He's helped install Sue, the largest T-Rex ever found, as well as articulated Lucy, one of the oldest hominid fossils yet discovered. So if you're ever at the Museum, give him a shout... you might just get a behind-the-scenes tour!
