“Rave” limited-supply apples, organic Dapple Dandy pluots and new crop Wenatchee apples.

When fruit shopping for this week's delivery I tasted the new “Rave” apple.  It's a Honeycrisp cultivar and in very limited supply. Like this is the-one-time-only-for-the-season availability. It’s included in our $63 and $89 bags.

There's a great organic “Dapple Dandy” pluot I sourced from farmer McGregor at Tiny’s Organics. These are firm, sweet and juicy, with a nice crunch to the bite. Remember most of the beneficial compounds in fruits reside within the skin.  And that also goes for veggies.

The new crop Gala apples are Premium WAXF top grade. This is a little harder to find but worth it in terms of a beautiful appearance and superior taste. We'll be sure to add in Opal, Sweet Tango and many other delicious apples from Wenatchee as they ripen and come to market.
We finish this week's variety with some Skagit County blueberries and ripe today green-tip bananas.
