Aspinwall Neighborhood Watch is an active and engaged community organization that I am extremely proud of and after 8 years as President, it is time for me to step aside. When you spend years building something basically from scratch, it takes a large amount of respect and faith in your successor to be able to hand over the reins. It has been my pleasure to work side by side with Jenny Ellermeyer over the past 8 years and I have seen Jenny grow as a board member, as a community activist, as a relationship builder and as cheerleading fundraiser. I couldn’t have led this organization without her. She has been in the position of Vice-President for the past year and it has been a time of in-house, on-the-job training for this hand-off. Jenny has embraced the position with a healthy balance of awe, concern and energy and it is my pleasure to announce to everyone that at our last board meeting, we voted unanimously to install Jenny as the new President.
Alongside of Jenny, we also welcome Tripp Clarke to the position of Vice-President. Tripp and Jenny will continue to build upon the ever-growing organization with community outreach, strengthening the inner workings of the organization and spreading the word that “we need you” as residents and volunteers, to continue to keep Aspinwall the fabulous community that it is. I will remain working with current board members to finish the 501c3 application process and will support the board in any way that I can. It has been a fabulous 8 years and I look forward to the growth of ANW continuing under Jenny and Tripp…..and remember - always lock your cars, doors and windows!
Much Appreciation,
Lorraine Marks
