AUTHOR MEET & GREET AND BOOK SIGNING WITH KAREN KAO

We are proud to host Karen Kao, author of The Dancing Girl and the Turtle, as she discusses her recent novel. The Dancing Girl and the Turtle is a haunting story that explores Shanghai in the 1930s, in a city that thrives with an ingrained courtesan culture. Song Anyi survives through this tumultuous time of war and destruction against all odds. Meet with the author Karen Kao and discuss the historical relevance of this novel regarding Sino-Japanese relations.

This event is in partnership with Association for Preserving Historical Accuracy of Foreign Invasions in China (APHAFIC)
