3D Printing

Hey you.
How are ya?
I spent last weekend doing some laps on a Ferrari California and a Lamborghini Huracan.
Man, it was SUPER FUN. My favorite was the Lambo. Definitely need to get me one of those in the future.
Hmm, what else?
I've been studying the mechanics of how to spread / propagate fake news across the web (purely for academic reasons).
A colleague of mine directed me to a NATO manual entitled Handbook of Russian Information Warfare -- and let me tell ya, it's VERY interesting.
Anyway, what's new with you?
As far as 3D Printing goes, today, we'll be covering:
1.) A new colorful 3D Printer 2.) NASA's prizes 3.) The first 3D Printed book 4.) A cool crowdfunding project 5.) An interesting case study of 3D Printing 6.) Blockchain based 3D Assets 7.) 3D Printers and emissions 8.) 3D Printed shoes 9.) How to sell your own 3D printed designs/products 10.) How 3D Printing affects the Fashion industry
That should keep you busy.
I hope you enjoyed the break last week.
As I've mentioned before, I skipped the digest due to lack of interesting news items AND to minimize information overload.
With that said, feel free to hit reply with your comments / suggestions etc.
That's it for now.
Until next time, my friend, Dilanka
Contemplation:
"..Man goes to doctor. Says he’s depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, “Treatment is simple. Great clown, Pagliacci, is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up.” Man bursts into tears. Says, “But doctor, I am Pagliacci.”.." -- Watchmen

Interesting development. Although, XYZ's filament etc.. is fully proprietary (unfortunately).

This ain't standard, "home 3D Printing" -- but, it's still good stuff.

It's always good to see the Economist covering 3D Printing.

I've mentioned blockchain related crypto coins etc for a while, and that includes ARToken. This might really have potential.
Although, given the insane number of scammy ICO's (Initial coin offerings) that we've seen lately, I must caution you about investing.

I've covered particle emissions research a number of times before, so this is nothing new. However, this post is much easier to read than the technical whitepapers I've linked to before.

These shoes involved using SLS printing, but it's still interesting.

Just in case you wondered how to sell your 3D Printed designs online, this is a good start.

Warning: This post is very salesy (duh, it's sponsored) -- but it still offers some value if you are interested in how 3D Printing applies in the fashion industry.
