SESARF Workshops: now open for booking
In order to establish key themes and elements for inclusion within the South East Scotland Archaeological Research Framework (SESARF) a series of three workshops have been scheduled to target different sectors within the archaeological community.
The aim of these workshops is to be as inclusive as possible and to allow everyone with an interest in the archaeology and heritage of the area to have an input in the Research Framework. We also want to establish a Working Group who will commit to providing specific content and expertise over the next 18 months or so. We are particularly keen on welcoming early career researchers to contribute to the framework.
The workshops will each be one-day events broken into two sessions, that of Looking Backwards in the mornings to discuss what the known archaeological and heritage of the areas are and then Looking Forwards sessions in the afternoon to consider what we would like to focus research for the areas on.
There are three different workshops for different audiences:
- Commercial Archaeology Units, Consultants, Academia/Higher Education
- Museums, Attractions, Conservation and Curatorial Bodies
- Community, Volunteer, Avocational
The workshops are free to attend with tea, coffee and lunch provided.
