Greetings <<First Name>>,

Join the Environmental Action Committee of West Marin (EAC) for some September sun in West Marin. EAC is offering a few events to get you outside and involved in our community. I am looking forward to seeing you at our upcoming events now that I am back in the office from maternity leave.

I want to thank all of you who took a moment to to respond to our constituent survey we sent out in June. The EAC team is embarking on a strategic planning process this month and I wanted to invite those of you who have not participated to please take the survey before September 15th. Whether you are a volunteer, contributing member, bird festival attendee, or all three, your voice is important to us.

In the meantime, our staff are busily preparing a fall newsletter, and for our year-end. I encourage you to join us by becoming a member, renewing your membership, or considering an extra special donation this season to help us reach our fundraising goals. You truly make all the difference for our work to protect and sustain the unique lands, waters, and biodiversity in West Marin -- THANK YOU!

Have a great weekend,

Morgan Patton
Executive Director

P.S. Save the date for our favorite fall tradition, Piper on the Ridge on Friday, October 6 with bagpiper Dan McNear, and speaker Mia Monroe. More details and registration coming soon!

Litter Bugs Me, Roadside Clean Up in West Marin
Saturday, October 14th | 9:45 am - 2:00 pm

We are partnering with the community for Litter Bugs Me, a roadside clean up effort in West Marin, but we need your help!

Let’s face it our roadways get trashed! As an unincorporated gateway community to three national parks, three state parks, open space, and agricultural lands, as well as a residential community, West Marin is a hot spot for Bay Area tourism. While tourism helps support the local economy, we also notice we get a lot of trash piling up along the roadsides after the busy summer tourist season. In a effort to clean up before the first winter rain and storm fronts, we asking you to get involved, and get outside to help us clean up.

You can get involved by joining EAC's Clean Up Day, or join the effort in one of the seven coastal communities as a Team Up to Clean Up Crew and hold your own mini event.
