Auburn University’s College of Agriculture is commemorating World Food Day Oct. 16 with a free screening of “Food Evolution,” a documentary that takes an in-depth look at the polarizing debate over genetically modified organisms. The Auburn campus and community are invited to the screening, set for 5:30 p.m. in the Foy Hall auditorium. |

Two nine-year veteran faculty members in Auburn University’s College of Agriculture have taken the reins at two Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station research, education and development centers on the Auburn campus. Animal sciences associate professor Christy Bratcher assumed duties as director of the Auburn University Food Systems Institute Sept. 1, the same day that Sushil Adhikari, biosystems engineering Alumni Professor, moved from interim director to director of the Center for Bioenergy and Bioproducts. |

An 8,000-square-foot administrative and education facility scheduled for completion at Auburn University’s Charles C. Miller Jr. Poultry Research and Education Center in early 2018 will be the permanent home of the Alabama Poultry Hall of Fame, Auburn College of Agriculture and Alabama Poultry & Egg Association officials have announced. |
