KNOWLEDGE SNIPPETS
Must Reads on Systems Entrepreneurship

Dear colleagues,
It's official: Systems Entrepreneurship is the flavor of the month. So many materials were published on the subject, it's hard to keep track. So for those of you who have a job and cannot consume everything, here is a very subjective list of recommendations.
- Most of you already know the report "Beyond Organizational Scale: How Social Entrepreneurs Create Systems Change" (PDF, Website), which was published by Schwab in May. If you don't, read it now! If you do, read it again!
- In her TEDx talk, Daniela Papi Thornton not only nails the difference between Social Business and Systems Entrepreneurship, she also makes a number of great recommendations for what that means for social entrepreneurship education.
- For the system mappers among us: in a blog post, Kumu (the beloved app) differentiates between systems analysis and systems synthesis, with the former focusing on understanding an issue and the latter on communicating the most relevant insights. I completely agree with the underlying credo: Let's use system tools for storytelling!
That's it for this issue of the Knowledge Snippets. Is there a resource that you particularly liked? Or one that should have made the list but didn't? Then reach out!

Until then, happy systems thinking and best regards,

PS: Still not enough? Fine! Listen to Prof. Jane Wei-Skillern, friend of Ashoka Globalizer and the initiator of newnetworkleader.org, as she summarizes her research on Network Leadership in this SSIR podcast episode.
