Kids Movie Night

Kids Movie Night is presenting Captain Underpants on Friday, September 8th! Bring the family, a sleeping bag to lie on, a reusable cup to fill and enjoy some popcorn and a drink while enjoying this worldwide hit!

PLEASE JOIN US FOR A BBQ FROM 3-6PM
Hamburgers and hotdogs are being served with gluten free and vegetarian options available, plus an assortment of salads and desserts will be served.

Cost of BBQ:
$5.00 for non-members
Free for members and kids under 3

FUN FAMILY ACTIVITIES:

Kids interactive games and crafts
Graffiti wall painting
Family dance in the park at 7pm

Pub Night opens at 7pm

North Glenora Pub Night

7:00pm to Midnight

Note the date change! Pub Night will break from the usual Friday night tradition to Saturday September 16 so it can be part of the Community Day festivities. Join us and celebrate all that makes North Glenora the best little neighbourhood in Edmonton!

From 7-11 we will have the usual favourites to serve and plan to find a selection of new brews for you to test. Of course the option of non-alcohol beverages will be available as well.

If the weather cooperates we plan to have a fenced off area outside so we can PARTY ON THE PATIO!

Community Day Volunteers Needed

Saturday, September 16

North Glenora is looking for volunteers to assist with Community Day on September 16, 2017

Volunteers are needed for the following:

Event set up and take down (tables, equipment, decorations, etc.)
Food preparation and cooking
Organizing and monitoring kids games and activities
Setting up and helping kids at the craft table
Setting up and overseeing the graffiti painting wall
Helping out with the dance
Help acquire food donations for the bbq
Operating and overseeing the popcorn machine
Assisting with pub night (18 years or older)
Floating volunteers to help as needed

Harvest Potluck

Doors: 5:30 pm, Supper: 6:00 pm, Entertainment: 7:00 pm

Harvest Potluck is Friday, September 29 at the Community Hall. Doors will open at 5:30 pm, supper at 6:00 pm and entertainment at 7:00 pm. For this potluck, the ham will be provided by the Club. Please bring salads, vegetables, fruits, baking, etc. made from the produce in your yard, if you can. The cost will be $8 per adult with an item for the buffet table. Family of 3 will cost $20 with 2 items for the buffet table, family of 4 will cost $25 with 3 items for the buffet table, family of 5 will cost $30 with 4 items for the buffet table, etc. There will be a number of door prizes. Please plan to attend with your neighbours, relatives, friends.

Community League Memberships

Your community league is an integral part of what makes your neighbourhood a great place to live. When you purchase your membership, you provide North Glenora Community League with the funds needed to accomplish our mandate of bringing residents together, and improving the community and the quality of life for all residents.

We do this by organizing educational and sport programming (Playschool, Indoor Playground, Soccer, Drop-In Summer Programming at the park, etc.), hosting community events (Kids Movie Night, Pub Night, Garage Sale, Reuse Fair, New Year’s Eve Party, etc.), developing and maintaining amenities such as the community hall and skating rink, and being the voice of the community when it comes to civic matters that impact North Glenora.
