AHA! Gallery Fall Art Show Opening

Join us to celebrate the opening of “Other,” a gallery of paintings by Ph.D. student Saeide Mirzaei. Saeide’s artwork explores the experiences of immigrant women in the United States; each piece tells a story about the hardships of navigating this American life as a female “Other.” Enjoy treats and refreshments while mingling with the artist!

Important Update on DACA
President Kaler expressed his strong support for all young people with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, and urged Minnesota's Congressional delegation to work to extend DACA to protect our students and their families, and to keep the promise of opportunity. For the U of M community, the Immigration Response Team is available with resources and to answer questions. You may also find a statement regarding DACA from the Department of Chicano and Latino Studies here

Ananya Dance Theater members hold a pose from the upcoming show Shyamali.Professor Ananya Chatterjea, Department of Theater Arts and Dance,  presents an excerpt from Shyamali (90 mins, Sept 2017), a dance piece about women's stories of dissent, speaking up, and refusing silence. RSVP encouraged.
