Dear Parents and Girls

We are very excited that our Astroturf lights have now been fully commissioned.  Thank you to all the parents and staff who have worked tirelessly raising funds to make this possible.  Thank you especially to Mr Siebrits, Mr Nicholas and their team for all the extra hours spent on this project.

As the winter sport’s season draws to an end, I’d like to express my grateful thanks to Ms Renée Scott and Ms Nolundi Blayi for all their time and care put into ensuring your daughters had such a wide variety of sporting experiences.  If your daughter(s) has achieved in a sport outside of school, please do let us know so that we can also celebrate their success.

It was a joy to walk around the Art exhibition and for those who saw it, I’m sure you agree that the girls have a lot of talent and do not lack imagination.  Thank you to the Art teachers for their guidance and encouragement of each of these young artists.  I’m privileged to be attending the MCED Arts Celebration this evening where 10 of our learners will be rewarded for their achievements, 6 of whom will receive Gold Awards.

‘Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't recognize them.’ Ann Landers

I’m so pleased to see how many of our girls make full use of the opportunities afforded them in Music, Art, Academics, Sport and Drama.  We are looking forward to the “Take Note” Annual Music Concert on the 27th of September and hope that many of you will attend this showcase of outstanding Music talent.

Regards
Michael Gates, Principal
