Discussion: Community and One Voice Diversity Efforts & How they Impact Issues Facing the Nonprofit Community


When: Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 11:30 a.m-1 p.m.

Where: United Way for Greater Austin, Barton Springs & Lady Bird Conference Rooms

Who: One Voice member EDs or approved designees

What: The Diversity Task Force will review their achievements and lead a discussion with members addressing the following questions:
  • What does it mean to be a leader and provide moral leadership in a time of conflict?
  • How do we advance diversity in the leadership but not alienate those already in leadership?
  • How do we leverage diversity of thought into physical diversity?
  • How have you driven diversity within your organization?
  • What can we do as a mem bership to meet needs of clients? How is this affecting the people we serve?

Last Chance to Register for OVCT Workshop: Performance Management that Fits Your Organization

Does your organization's performance management process meet the evolving needs of both your organization and your employees?

On September 22 from 2-4:30 p.m. Marcia Silverberg with HR Directions will lead a workshop to help Executive Directors and Human Resource Directors:

  1. Learn best practices for engaging and meaningful performance management processes and forms,
  2. Understand how competencies are at the center of an effective performance management process,
  3. Reflect on how performance management fits into the overall Talent Management Cycle (from hire to retire) of your organization,
  4. Consider special considerations for nonprofit CEO evaluations and succession planning, and
  5. Assess your current process and consider opportunities for improvement.
