Indonesia traffic boosts Macao arrivals growth in 2Q2017
Macao SAR welcomed 7.5 million visitor arrivals from Asia in 2Q2017 – a 5.3 percent increase compared to 2Q2016. Arrivals from Southeast Asia sub-region grew by 1.4 percent, despite significant reductions in year-on-year visitor arrivals from Thailand (-16.9%) and Vietnam (-46.5%). These downturns were offset by strong traffic from Indonesia (+14.2%), Malaysia (+8.1%) and Philippines (+7.0%).
