Hi Eltham Arts Network!

Summer is now changing to Autumn. Thank you everyone who has been involved in creative events and activities over the last few months and making Eltham and the SE9 area such an exciting place to be.  We love hearing from individuals and groups about what everyone is doing and helping spread the word about events and achievements.

Just an update and news from Eltham Arts central on projects and plans….
A Plateful of Songs: The Eltham Menu CD

The album launch on Sat 17 June at the Bob Hope Theatre Bar was a great success with brave musicians playing their songs live and an opportunity for everyone to meet the singer/songwriters and hear (and buy) the wonderful CD of 15 original songs. We had good coverage in local papers, BBC Kent and very complimentary comments about the CD.

If anyone would like to buy a copy (£8) do contact us. All proceeds go back to fund Eltham Arts projects and events

WALL project

This project is well underway with great plans to develop a range of projects which will come together for this innovative project.  This is a multimedia project and to date there are projects planned which include arts, crafts, heritage, photography, film, drama and creative writing . Do look at the WALL Facebook page and follow the Eltham Arts Twitter and look at our website. Contact us if you want to know more

July is Eltham Music Month

What a great month of music in Eltham!  The Eltham Music Festival in Passey Place went well and with Jazz, Folk, a classical concert and music in the parks and the pubs - it was a great success!  The 2000 leaflets and lots of good social media promotion meant it was all well attended.

Thank you everyone. The final event was on 30th July at the Eltham Park Festival.
See photos on our Facebook and blog post.

Eltham Park Festival – Sunday 30th July

What a lovely day! We supported the Met Police with The Eltham Park Festival, organising music, crafts and stalls for the Festival. With lots of free family activities, thank you everyone who had a stall or came to join in with the fun.

Eltham Arts AGM – Saturday 2nd September 2017

Thank you every who came to our AGM for Saturday 2nd Sept 2017 in New Eltham. Another successful year. You can read the documents on our website.

We are delighted that so many people are engaged with Eltham Arts and committed to developing Eltham as a creative hub. We have over 2800 twitter followers and a popular Facebook page. The ‘Life in Eltham’ column in the monthly newspaper Greenwich Visitor lets us connect with many more people in Eltham and other areas in Royal Greenwich. Our local libraries are a vital resource for sharing information and as a venue. We try to support as many creative events, groups and individuals in our SE9 community of all ages and backgrounds.

We would like to mention the support we have had from our local ward Councillors in Eltham North and South. With their Ward budget funds, they have contributed to our music project and cost of promotional material.  We have recently heard that Eltham West Councillors are supporting one of our WALL projects. Thank you.

We can always do with some more help. Do contact us if you could help on the committee, with our projects or could sponsor a project.

Thank you everyone for being part of our network.
All good wishes
