Fall is one of our favorite seasons in Wisconsin. We love the changing leaves, the crispness in the air, and, most importantly, the local apples.
Apples have been grown commercially in Wisconsin since the mid-19th century. Most of these early orchards grew several types of apples, including some of local origin like the Wolf River apple from Fremont, Wisconsin. Our short growing season, though, meant only the hardiest of apple varieties could thrive.
Fall also means that the new season of the Wisconsin Life TV show is almost here. Mark your calendars for October 5th at 7PM.
