Pattern Vol. XII: Under Construction
Join us Friday, September 29, at the newly opened 1417 Commerce building to celebrate the release of vol. 12 of PATTERN Magazine - the Under Construction issue - where we highlight the best of Indy's built environment, and the people who make it happen.
It's hard to believe we've all been doing this for six years! Whether you've been with us the whole time, or this will be your first launch party, we can't wait to see you.

BTS: Costume Design Challenges
The results seem effortless but the work undertaken is incredible: the Emmy-nominated costume designers behind your favorite shows talk through their most challenging moments, whether it came to repurposing IKEA rugs or creating an exact replica of Elizabeth's wedding dress in The Crown. As Ane Crabtree, the costume designer for the Handmaiden's Tale mused, "...the biggest learning curve [is] not panicking and just saying yes and then finding a way to do it."

City As Canvas and Doug E. Fresh
In October, the IMA brings City as Canvas, an exploration of the evolution of graffiti, to Indianapolis. This is one of the greatest collections of early graffiti. Feel the impact in music - don't miss your chance to see the first (and greatest!) human beatbox - Doug E. Fresh - on Oct 5 at 8pm at the IMA. This will sell out, so don't wait to get your ticket. And in November, see the evolution of fashion, art and hip hop in Fresh Dressed - playing at the IMA on November 3.
