Instameet drives stellar results at Sample Food Festival

Popular Australian food event, Sample Food Festival just wrapped for 2017, and Australian Macadamias was delighted to once again support this fabulous Northern Rivers attraction as a sponsor for the 7th consecutive year. This year’s sponsorship delivered the most impressive results to date, with the media reach target of 225,000 exceeded by 360%, and more than 1 million people reached across social and traditional media channels. This year’s stand-out platform was Instagram, fuelled by the success of our #AusMacadamias Instameet hosted by 2 professional Instagrammers. We loved catching up with fans, chefs and foodies, and it was fabulous to see macadamias embraced in a host of dishes, tasting plates and demonstrations throughout the festival. Macadamia butter a new summer favourite in China

Chinese consumers are embracing macadamia butter in the search for lighter meal options during the sweltering summer months. People in tier 1 and 2 cities in particular eschew traditional hot rice and noodle dishes in favour of bread with jam or butter during summer, so we seized the opportunity to inspire our Chinese fans with some seasonal recipe content. 7 homemade macadamia butter recipes to die for  featured on our Chinese website, and showed consumers how to make a basic macadamia butter, before introducing some innovative flavoured versions including coconut, chocolate, walnut & maple syrup, white chocolate and vanilla. It was the most popular blog post in August, and also performed strongly on our Chinese social media channels, generating hundreds of engagements and 77,000 impressions on Weibo. A delicious and relevant way to showcase the versatility of macadamias! See all the inspiring imagery here.

Macadamia Consultants Forum keeps Australia at industry forefront

A unique event that brings together key influencers within the Australian macadamia industry is reaping big rewards for macadamia growers. The annual macadamia industry Consultants Forum gathers industry experts from all major Australian macadamia growing regions for a 2-day event to learn about the latest scientific research, innovation and technology. This year’s event delivered overwhelming support for a move to a more data-based, proactive, industry-wide integrated pest & disease management program, in order to realise continued productivity improvements and remain at the forefront of global macadamia production. German blogger’s spectacular macadamia cake a hit

A popular blogger inspired our German fans recently with her delectable summer recipe for Strawberry Macadamia Raw Cake with Acai. Stephanie is a first-class flight attendant who also writes a food and travel blog, Plantiful Skies. Her engaging macadamia-inspired blog post included the cake recipe, facts about Australia as the birthplace of macadamias, and an amusing anecdote about a first-class passenger who rejected the airline’s macadamias in favour of the Australian macadamias he brought on board himself! We leveraged the recipe on our own German blog, and it proved very popular on our Facebook page too. It’s pleasing to see the continued success that blogger outreach is delivering in Germany and other markets. See the stunning cake imagery here.
