Into the Woodlands | Special display opens Thursday 30 November
Eight hundred years ago, the Charter of the Forest gifted public access to Britain’s woodlands, to be used and enjoyed by all. Marking this anniversary, and celebrating 75 years of Wytham Woods, this display features woodland-inspired work by Robert Macfarlane, Stanley Donwood, Robin Wilson, Rosie Fairfax-Cholmeley and Richard Lawrence.

Curiosity Carnival | Friday 29 September, 7-10pm
A night for the incurably curious, as questions are asked, answered and intricately explored with researchers from the University of Oxford. Book free tickets.

Masterclass: Evolution of the Brain | Saturday 4 November, 10am-1pm
Using the Museum’s collections neuroscientist Professor Zoltán Molnár will lead you through the amazing development and adaptations of the vertebrate brain. Part of the Brain Diaries exhibition programme.

Learning to Read: Biology to Culture | Wednesday 22 November, 6.30-7.30pm
Written language and alphabets are cultural creations, but our capacity to learn how to read and write is rooted in our biology. Professor Kate Nation describes recent progress in the science of learning to read.
