We Are GCVS - September 2017 Update
View this email in your browser

Welcome to the GCVS September 2017 Newsletter!

We have some exciting news to share with you all! The TSI partners (GCVS, GSEN, Glasgow Third Sector Forum and Volunteer Glasgow) are sponsoring the Community Project of the Year Award at the upcoming Herald Society Awards in November. This is a really worthwhile category and recognises the efforts of projects which help ordinary people to change their communities for the better.
Additionally, we held a Scottish Public Information Forum (SPIF) meeting in partnership with Campaign for Freedom of Information in Scotland and Unison Scotland on the 28th of September – International Right to Know Day. The meeting was a great success and allowed attendees to consider their rights and their responsibilities under Freedom of Information Laws, as well as the rights of the people they work with and for.
The next few months are – as ever – going to be very busy and exciting for all of us here at GCVS, with the Third Sector Summit in November and our own Conference and AGM in December, plans for which we just can’t wait to share with you all.
