Dear CoCoRaHS Teachers,

For those of you who are receiving this e-mail - it means we have identified you as a teacher, student, educator or otherwise connected with education within the CoCoRaHS database.  If you feel you are not supposed to be on this list, please reply and we will remove you right away.

Twice each year, CoCoRaHS for Schools hosts "Rain Gauge Week".  For those of you who have not been involved in "Rain Gauge Week" before, it is a simple opportunity for all educators and schools to participate by reporting data - all during the same week!

The campaign begins next week and will take place from Tuesday, September 19th though Monday, September 25th.  Why Tuesday through Monday, you might ask?  Beginning next Monday, if you haven't set up your gauge yet, that will be a good day to get it outside.  (Here is a link to view some examples of rain gauge posts that schools have used.)  Then, the next morning, Tuesday, will be your first day to enter data (covering the previous 24-hour period).  Normal data entry continues through Friday, but since nobody will be at your school over the weekend, the following Monday will be the last day to enter data.  There, you will be encouraged to submit a 'Multi-Day Accumulation' report.

If you are not able to record measurements during 'Rain Gauge Week', please bear with us for the extra e-mails you receive during the campaign, but there are still some valuable tips and resources too, so please check them out anyway!
