Nurse Ibiya, the longest serving PNG Wesleyan Health worker, welcomes everyone to the new wing of the Fugwa Health Centre. It was a joy for Don and his team of carpenters to take part in the dedication ceremony last week.
The Fugwa clinic served 12,491 outpatients last year, as well as 312 inpatients. The also travel to run 9 other satellite clinics, serving an overall population of 19,000 people. However the Fugwa clinic reputation is so good, that people outside their service area come for medical care, thus keeping outpatient numbers high.
2018 will see Don's team kick off phase two of the clinic improvements. THANK YOU for your support that made this work possible and makes a difference for so many people who have no other options for health care. If you would like to help subsidise Don's travel for phase two for next year, please give
here.
