Join Mitchell Conservatorium in a night of relaxation and wonder!

This amazing concert will combine the admirable skill of Cindy Fox (piano), Julia Romano (soprano) and Rosemarie Barnes (clarinet) to pay homage to the best works of Strauss. This performance will be played in candlelight to truely allow the senses to appreciate the wonderous sound.

Hot Potato Band Schools Workshop


Mitchell Conservatorium has secured the services of the incredible  Hot Potato Band and will be presenting a creativity workshops and concerts for school students at BMEC City Hall on Tuesday 17th (Primary School) & Wednesday 18th October (High School) from 9:30am to 3:00pm.
Hot Potato Band are famous for their high energy, fun and engaging performances and workshops.
Students participating in previous workshops give rave reviews and report greater enthusiasm and motivation following their attendance at a Hot Potato Workshop!
We are so thrilled to be able to offer such an amazing opportunity to the schools of the Central West!

Mitchell Quartet


Mitchell Conservatorium is proud to present The Mitchell Quartet - with special guest Rosemarie Barnes, performing three wonderful concerts in Kandos, Bathurst and Lithgow.

Mitchell String Quartet was launched in November 2014 at their inaugural and highly acclaimed performances in Lithgow and Bathurst. 
Mitchell String Quartet’s members, Andrew Baker, Nicholas Newell, Fiona Thompson and Sybbi Georgiou, have presented chamber music concerts in the Central West for over 30 years.
Over the past 3 years MSQ has collaborated with several talented local musicians including Stephanie Baker, Justin Screen, Cindy Fox and Phil Braithwaite. 
This season the quartet will be lead by Doreen Cumming and joined by acclaimed local clarinettist Rosemarie Barnes.
MSQ is passionate about offering high quality, beautiful, accessible and well known chamber music repertoire to Central West audiences, as a regular feature of their concert calendar. MSQ have performed in Abercrombie House in Bathurst, Eskbank House in Lithgow, All Saints’ Church in Canowindra, as well as various venues in Orange, Forbes, Mudgee, Molong, Katoomba and Springwood.
These fabulous performances will delight audiences and, for those who are regular classical music goers, they will provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy quality chamber music.

C.M. von Weber Quintet for Clarinet and strings Op 34
H. Baermann Adagio from Quintet No 3 for Clarinet and strings Op 23
D. Shostakovich Quartet No 8 Op 110
