From the Courts

Welcome to our new and existing members for the 2017 / 2018 Summer Season with Wavell Netball. We are excited to welcome all payers and their families to the beginning of the new season and look forward to seeing the girls having fun and developing their netball skills on the courts.

Open Division Changes
BNA have changed some of the numbering with the divisions since we last communicated the team lists. The teams are still playing within the same pool of teams that were agreed on the grading night. The changes are as follows:

Div 1 - Whiplash
Div 2 - Wolves
Div 3 Red - Wanderers
Div 4 - Wombats
Div 5 - Wild Things

All the Inters, Juniors and Moddies are still correct.

Grading Update (excluding Moddies)
Team grading will occur within the first 4 weeks of the season. Depending on the results, some teams may move to a different division. Also the BNA board have agreed and announced "That we have a 14 week season with the first four weeks being used to grade teams and the remaining 10 weeks games will be randomly allocated through MyNetball, which will result in each team playing every other team at least once, however not all an equal number of times."

Stay up to date with everything at Wavell Netball by keeping an eye on our Website, Facebook and Instagram pages.

Wet Weather

With the Summer Season about to commence which also means "summer storms", it is a good time to remind parents and players of the wet weather procedures.

Game Day
The BNA courts are deemed “all weather courts” so fixtures will proceed in the rain but not when there is lightning. BNA (not Wavell Netball) will cancel the games and will inform the club secretary who in turn will then inform the Coaches and Managers who will then inform the parents and players.

Training
The decision to train in wet weather is ultimately decided by your coach. If your coach cancels training, then the team manager will be informed and they will communicate to the team's parents and players advising of cancellation.

Wavell Netball will also post on its Website, Facebook and Instagram advising if games and / or training has been cancelled.
