The Kids Can't Wait to See You!
Thanks to all of you who came out to our mandatory orientations this past week! We had over 200 people come! If you missed them, please sign up for one in October here- they will be held on Oct. 10 and 12. You must attend an orientation (and then register) in order to tutor this year.
This year, our main goal at San Diego Refugee Tutoring is commitment. We have seen over the years that our program runs best with committed tutors. It makes a very real difference. If you haven't already, please go and sign up for at least three sessions in the next month. And, if you do sign up, please do your best to keep your commitment. We count on you and so do our kids.
Help Us Stock Up!
As we cleaned out our cupboards and got organized last week, we realized we could use a few things. If you feel compelled to help us stock up for the year, please bring one of the following items to tutoring in the next two weeks and give them to a lead tutor (examples of some items are linked):

- box of Kleenex
- Fun pencils such as these
- Reward stickers such as these
- Expo dry erase markers (red, green, blue and/or black only), chisel or fine tip

- Boys Underwear: XS, S, M, and L
- Girls socks: Medium and Large
- Girls Underwear: XS, S, M, L
- Payless Shoes gift cards of any amount (so we can buy our kids pairs of shoes when needed)
