So many parents have since commented on how lovely the evening was and how amazing the food was. I truly believe that the we were all eating some of the finest food available in London.

Taste Week in Reception
Reception have been very busy learning all about taste buds and flavour this week! We examined our tongues, made bread, learnt key vocabulary to describe taste and even had a juicing station! The children have LOVED trying new the foods and some great faces were pulled at the sour fruits!
Fox BAME History week

Next week, is Fox’s Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic (BAME) History Week. This provides us with an occasion to particularly focus on BAME culture, history and achievement to complement our ongoing curriculum coverage in this area.
In partnership with parents and the community, Fox aim to ensure that all children develop as individuals and that their diverse strengths, cultural backgrounds, gifts and aspirations are celebrated. This week is one of the many opportunities in which we actively recognise the varied backgrounds, cultures and religions of Fox’s pupils, parents and staff.
We aim to teach children about the importance of moral values such as honesty, respect, tolerance, sincerity, trust and personal responsibility to prepare our children for life in a modern democratic society. Themes of diversity and inclusion are embedded into our curriculum throughout the year in many forms, for example through our international week, text choices, PSHE topics, writing outcomes, humanities units, weekly themes and assemblies.
Next week’s activities:
Rec to Year 3 – South Asian food tasting with Ms Afzal
Year 4 – V&A Museum Voyage workshop
Year 5 – Black Cultural Archives workshop
Year 6 – Migration Museum workshop
NB. Year 2 – British Museum African story telling workshop later in the term.

Thank you to all the parents who have already offered to come and speak to their child’s class. There is still time to volunteer so let your class teacher know if you would like to get involved!
