Sacred Space, Holy Conversation: Homelessness in Seattle

Please join us for an evening of meditation and holy listening on September 28 from 6:30-8pm in the historic chapel. This service will center on the topic of homelessness in Seattle. The evening will include mediation, silence, music, and prayer, followed by a discussion and refreshments.

What does "holy listening" mean? For this event, it means sharing a sacred space with and listening prayerfully to our Ballard neighbors, both sheltered and unsheltered, and members of our church community. It means sharing and and listening to the feelings and experiences of others - without debate, argument, or judgment.

We expect that some Ballard residents who aren't part of St. Luke's will attend, so this will present a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbors to share the importance of our ministries and gain a deeper understanding of their experiences and concerns.

Blessing of the Animals:  St. Francis Day

Bring your animal companions to Ballard Commons Park on Sunday, October 1 at 11:45. We will have a neighborhood Blessing of the Animals as well as a remembrance service for those pets we have loved and lost. All pets welcome. Please make sure they are appropriately restrained!
