Blessed are the Meek

Meek: It is the temper of spirit in which we accept His dealing with us as good, and therefore without disputing or resisting. It is closely linked with the word humility. The word is difficult to express in English because it suggests weakness. The meekness manifested by the Lord and commended to the believer is the fruit of power. It is not a passive spirit, but it means having the power of God at work, but not wanting to use it for self interest.

We are commanded to walk in lowliness and meekness. We should desire to bring our will into subjection to the will of God and desire for things to be done His way. In the breaking of bulls, it is putting the strength of the bulls into the yoke to accomplish a specified purpose. Today many people have great ability, but can't harness it into a constructive force.

A meek person is entirely submitted to God, gives courtesy to others, and is loyal to principle. The meek shall inherit the earth. That is pretty awesome. Does the world possess us, or do we possess the world? Who has the greatest blessing: The man who owns a thousand homes, or the man who has no house, but whose knock on any of hundreds of homes brings excitement?

We should desire to walk as Jesus walked with a meek and gentle spirit. What a need in these days.

A personal testimony: While in Cuba on this last trip, I was teaching and began to feel ill. Thankfully Dwayne Higgason was there to take over. I went to a room to lay down for a while. A man named Lazaro serves us as a cook. He is a man filled with joy. He came into the room and sang over me for about 20 minutes. It was such a humbling experience. He just rubbed my back and sang. The Lord touched me and healed me and I was able to go back out and join our team. So glad for those who serve God and obeys Him!!

Mission News

A great team from Grace Temple in Hattiesburg, MS was in Cuba, August 31 - September 7. The team shared with children and helped in a construction project at the church with Pastor Sergio. Dwayne Higgison and myself taught my book to about 30 pastors on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. An entire family came to the Lord one afternoon when the team ministered at the park. They then came to the service on Sunday morning. The team prayed for many children and God touched them with His power.

The team shared a drama about a caterpillar turning into a butterfly and shared that is what becoming a new creation does in our lives. It was funny, but had a real impact on the kids. They then had crafts and other stories to continue to teach the kids about salvation and growing in God.
Serving those who serve Jesus around the world.
This is the newly painted front of the church. Pastor Earl Wright of Sorrento Christian Center sent money for the paint. Nothing has been painted in Cuba since 1959. The team worked on the roof of this building to help build a small apartment to be used to house people who are set free from drugs and alcohol. Thankful to help these people who are so giving and loving.
If you look close, you can see that Pastor Sergio is wearing one of the shirts made for my 40 years in ministry celebration from 3 years ago. One of the guys on the team brought it and gave it to Pastor Sergio. He loved it and thought it was so funny to be wearing a picture of me.!!

Testimony from one of the pastors at the conference in Ongole, India in June:

Name of the national Missionary: Benjamin

Mission Field: Singarayakonda, Prakasam District

My name is Benjamin. I serve operation saturation from the village called Singarayakonda, Prakasam district. I attended covenant and kingdom conference, it was a great time of learning the scripture. Ronald Gray and Jack Turner are anointed people of God. I minister among the Hindus, ministering in this place is difficult so I thought of moving to a comfortable place. But God spoke to me through the message” staying in the place where God wants you to be.” this message really touched me.  I was blessed and decided to be in the place where God has led me.

Ronald's Remarks

Next week I head to Cambodia to minister to our wonderful missionaries who serve the Lord in that country. They are truly heroes of the faith. They deal with things that are unspeakable. Please keep us in your prayers as Mike McCarty and I travel. We then return to participate in a memorial for our good friend, Gary Henley, in Columbus, Ohio. Then Sharon, Braxton and I travel to the Holy Land and Greece. What an adventure. I will leave the tour in Greece and travel with Mike McCarty to Italy, Spain and Germany where we have new missionaries serving with us. Please keep us in your prayers.

I experienced a cancellation for a men's event and ministry that had been on the calendar for a year. Another date was canceled because of Hurricane Irma. I have a lot of traveling in the next several months and would appreciate any support you can give to these mission trips. Thanks for your faithfulness in your financial and prayer support.
Now is the time and You are the one who can make a difference. You can partner with us to reach out to the people around the world. We can't change everyone, but we can make a difference in at least one life. Who knows how many that person will touch?
Ronald, I want to partner with you to Reach the Nations. Here is my pledge of support. You can be a partner in the Harvest with any monthly support. Your financial support is a blessing to many.
