CreaDigi&Tourism – a project in collaboration with Northern Dimension Institute and National Association of Creative Industries of Lithuania addresses the challenge: how to facilitate the development of cultural tourism in the wider BSR by increased interaction and cooperation of tourism operators and cultural and creative industry (CCI) actors. More specifically, the Project focuses on culture and tourism operators’ innovative utilization of non-traditional CCI areas, such as gamification, mobile applications and virtual/augmented reality. The Project targets the more peripheral regions outside large urban touristic places, where CCI and cultural tourism plays or could potentially play an important role in terms of socio-economic development and sustainability of the region.
