As we continue with our "New Beginnings" discipleship classes in the villages, we have added 2 more exciting events that are over and above our regular ministry budget.

Youth Rally

Rev. Caleb Otieno, BPM's youth pastor, will be hosting a rally for high school students in North Nairobi. It will be an all day event on September 30th. Like most of our Burning Plow teachings, the topic of the day will be Biblical foundations. We are expecting about 200 participants and our budget is $200.

Rev Caleb Otieno is on Burning Plow's ministry staff and serves as our youth pastor. Although he has participated as a teacher in several of BPM's village missions his primary responsibility is to teach Bible in several High Schools around Nairobi.

Rev Vincent Mokaya is part of Burning Plow's ministry team. He is also pastor of First Baptist Church in Kawaida, Kenya.

Evangelism

"Due to the truth confirmed that false doctrines and even ancestral worship has taken root in the Kenyan society and eventually affected the impact of biblical foundations, we have come up with an outreach/evangelistic program that will see trained participants go into homes, farms, streets and markets (going to the people) and share the biblical truth which is the Good News for 20 days in a row. We prayerfully selected Kitui as a location for outreach due to previous requests and the confirmation of the need. We are privileged that a team from BPM will be coming to run the "New Beginnings" program in each of the 3 locations that outreach will be taking place." - Rev. Vincent Mokaya

Evangelism

Rev. Vincent Mokaya (who is on BPM's ministry staff and pastor of First Baptist Church (FBC) of Kawaida) has announced a very ambitious mission outreach for selected members of his church.

Burning Plow Ministries is giving as much financial support to this effort as we can. We are also providing 12 hours of intense discipleship training for the many new believers that we are expecting in each of the 3 locations.

This outreach is specifically designed to reach those under the spell of false teachings and the local witch doctors who are forbidding any under their influence to attend any true Biblical teachings. This influence reaches an estimated 30% of "Christian" pastors in this part of Kenya.

There are 25 members of FBC church that will be rotating to and from the target locations so there will be a team of 10 on site at any given time. They are required to provide money for their own public transportation. We and the church are attempting to raise the rest. Our fundraising goal for this event is $2,470.
