Saturday 23rd September – Contingency Day Sunday 24th September

This is the highlight of the year and is open to all members.
The race consists of 2 runs (fastest one counting) over an easy course of about 10-12 gates (poles) and is on the upper mountain.  If you can ride a T-Bar then you can get there.  The location will be confirmed on Saturday depending on weather and snow conditions.

The course is designed so that anyone (regardless of ability, ski or board) can get down it.  There are a range of classes based on age catering for everyone from Grommets through to Golden Oldies and some pretty cool looking trophies.  This is the chance to beat the kids, beat your mates, beat your parents and just have some fun.  The races are followed by lunch provided by the Club either at the top of the course (if fine) or in the Knoll Ridge Café.
 You can then freeski until prizegiving back at the Lodge after the mountain closes.  Drinks, nibbles, spot prizes and trophies are then distributed amongst everyone.  Dinner follows the prizegiving (register with Vicki at bookings@tauposki.org.nz) and then quite a few tall stories.

If you are day tripping then think about car pooling or even making use of the RAL bus service.   And for the seniors; don't forget to vote before coming up.
 Finally how about looking in at Gordons Ski Shop tomorrow and grabbing one of the exclusive club member deals that Hendon and Kim are offering leading up to the Club Champs.
