Hey there <<First Name>>!

I know, I know. You haven't heard from me in a month.  No newsletters, no essays, and barely any social media posts. I'm practically a stranger.  But fear not-I'm back!  And here's a quick update on what I've been up to:
  • I was on NPR! The Strange Fruit podcast invited me on to talk about my SOULE think piece, "When Black, Gay Culture Is Used WITHOUT Credit" (episode #210).
  • I'm on the forthcoming fall cover of Pathfinders Travel Magazine, which includes my first-timers guide to Brooklyn.
  • I finished the first draft of my debut novel, which is marinating now. I'll start editing in October and begin my literary agent search by January. (If you know anyone who'd be interested, send me the details!)
  • And finally, I have a new essay about why I'm drawn to the freelance life: "I'm Too Creative To Have a 9 to 5".
The last month has been busy, but I'm committed to producing new content on a regular basis once again.  I'll be exploring the theme LEGACY over the next month.  Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience and support.
