Dear Friend,

I wanted to share with you a beautiful gift we recently received from a former student, Meg Shriber. Meg gave us this incredible painting she made herself, with a heartfelt note on the back. This is the kind of feedback that tells us CACE is making a difference.

“CACE- Thank you for everything that you’ve done for the We The People Program, and for me. Participating in this has been the crown of all that I did in high school and has left an impact on me in a way that nothing else has… It was better than anything I could have imagined, and left me a better person than I ever expected. I’ve overcome much of my anxiety, found a love of history that I didn’t know I had, and learned about the significance of my own ideas and actions. [CACE] was one of the reasons that all of those things were possible… I had a fantastic year and will be back for more!" - Meg Shriber, Amador ‘17, Unit 2.

As we enter the new academic year, CACE is ramping up our efforts to provide the kind of academic support that has left an impression on students like Meg throughout the state. We currently have six academic sessions scheduled just over the next three months. We have also set a goal to sponsor as many schools as possible to attend the California State We the People Finals in February 2018. We humbly ask for your help to do so.

It costs CACE about $150 to run each academic seminar or practice. It costs about $1200 per school to attend the California State Finals. Can you help us achieve our goals?

Your generous tax-deductible donation will help CACE continue to provide top-quality educational support at no cost to students and teachers in the coming academic year. CACE strives to make sure that every possible penny of your donations is given directly to the schools, students, and civic education programs that need it most. Any donation is welcome.

You will not only have the satisfaction of knowing your money will be put to work helping young people learn about our government, you will be ensuring the next generation is prepared to be effective and engaged citizens of our great democracy. Please let us know if you have any questions, and thank you.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time CACE does not accept donations from teachers, students, or families of students who are participating in We The People, between the time of enrollment in the program and the end of active competition.
