Dear film makers
Die Vorbereitungen für vierte Poetry Film Festival Wien sind auf der Zielgeraden!
Es ist uns geglückt, im Finish 2 neue Sponsoren für Preisstiftungen zu gewinnen. Prof. Hubert Sielecki sponsert einen Preis für einen heimischen Poesiefilm seiner Wahl. OKTO TV hat sich dankenswerter ebenfalls bereit erklärt, eine Preistiftung in Form des Erwerbs einer Sendelizenz zu übernehmen. Wir danken den beiden neuen Preisstiftern herzlich für ihr Engagement! Insgesamt vergibt das Festival 4 Geldpreise im Wert 1800 Euro. Nähere Infos dazu auf der Festivalhomepage.
Weiters möchten wir Euch noch auf die Medienkooperation mit dem Non-Profit Community TV Sender OKTO hinweisen. Wer teilnehmen möchte, muss dem Sender eine unterzeichnete Copyright-Erklärung gescannt übermitteln. Aus Kapazitätsgründen werden wir erst nach dem Festival auf Euch zukommen und den Erstkontakt zum Sender herstellen. Die Ausstrahlung ist unentgeltlich.
Hotelservice
Das Festival wird die Gewinner der Bewerbe und die Hauptakteure der Rahmenprogramme nach Wien einladen. Darüber hinaus haben wir mit dem Poetry Film Preis Weimar ein Partnerfestival aus Deutschland zu Gast. Natürlich freuen wir uns sehr, wenn ihr euren Film persönlich auf der Bühne vorstellt und laden euch mit der kostenlosen Akkreditierung auf die Screenings aller Programme ein! Leider können wir aus Budgetgründen keine weiteren Reise- oder Unterbringungskosten übernehmen.
Wir haben jedoch mit dem Vierstern- Hotel Wandl im 1. Bezirk ein Kooperationsabkommen und ein Zimmerkontigent zur Verfügung mit automatischem Verfall am 10. Oktober. Die Zimmer können 30-40 Euro billiger als normal direkt beim Hotel reserviert werden unter Angabe des Reservierungscodes. 139526 und des Festivalnamens Art Visuals & Poetry Filmfestival Wien.

Good news! We were able to gain two new sponsors OKTO TV and Professor Hubert Sielecki for additional prizes on the finish line. The Art Visuals & Poetry Film Festival will endows 4 cash prizes of 1800 Euros in all. Please check the website for more information:
As a festival service we will offer to all participants a free accreditation for the whole festival program. We would ask you to come on stage after the screening for a short Q&A. Please let us know, if want to join the festival, you need to accreditate. Please do so by sending an e-mail to office@filmpoetry.com
Furthermore we will invite the winners and main film makers of the side program and the organizers of the Poetry Award Weimar to Vienna. We are unfortunately not able to cover additional travel or hotel expenses. But we can offer you reduced rooms at our partner hotel. It´s the 4star Hotel Wandl in the old city center close to Stephansdom in walking distance to the cinema. For reservation you have to contact the hotel reception directly using a special reservation code 139526.

It´s unlikely to get a better single hotel room in Vienna under 90 Euros including breakfast. The double rooms are a bit expensive. If you need a cheaper accomodation please use Airbnb instead. You can get rooms and appartments in the center from 25 Euros upwards.
At the end we want to mention again our TV co-operation with the Vienna based local TV sender Okto TV. (add-free). OKTO will broadcast selected poetry films after the festival. There is a two pages copyright declaration which needs to be signed and returned to the sender. I will establish a first contact to the sender after the festival. The sender does not pay a screening fee. It´s independant TV. Please let us know if you wish to join in.
