Family & Friends Seminar, October 28th or November 18th

This new 4-hour educational seminar is designed to inform and support family members, partners, friends and significant others who have loved ones with a mental health condition. Participants learn about diagnoses, treatment, recovery, communication strategies, crisis preparation and NAMI resources. Seminar leaders are also family members who know first-hand what it is like to have a loved one with a mental health condition.
The seminar is being piloted by NAMI as a way to reach individuals who may not be able to commit to our flagship 12-week Family-to-Family educational program. NAMI Sonoma County will  conduct the seminar twice in our office. The seminar is open to anyone aged 14 years and above, accompanied by an adult.
For more information, please contact Lisa Kubiak at lkubiak@namisoco.org or call 707-527-6655 to reserve a space.

Youth Mental Health First Aid
Date & Time TBA, at NAMI Sonoma County Office
This full-day training is a national program designed for caring adults (parents, teachers, school staff and caregivers). The program provides tools for understanding how to recognize and help a young person (ages 12-18) experiencing a mental health challenge. We would like to host this training in our office early in 2018 and invite interested participants to get in touch so that we can set a date convenient for most.
For more information, please email wrodgers@namisoco.org.

The NAMI Warmline can help Monday-Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM with questions related to mental health and finding local resources, including NAMI programs.
Call 866-960-6264; text 866-960-6264; email warmline@namisoco.org or visit namisoco.org to begin a live chat!
