Nurturing Your Nonprofit–November 3rd Grantwriting and Fundraising Training

 
Nonprofit organizations, their boards and volunteers are invited to a Grantwriting and Fundraising Training, hosted by the Northwest Alliance Community Foundation (NACF) in partnership with Grantsburg Community Education and the Grantsburg Public Library. 

  • Friday, November 3rd from 1:00-4:30 PM
  • Grantsburg Public Library, 415 S Robert St, Grantsburg, Wisconsin 54840
  • Event fee of $25.00 will be accepted online at http://www.northwestalliancecf.org/ go to the "buy now" PayPal button, or pay by check at the registration table the day of the event (checks can be made out to NACF)
  • Training materials will be provided 
  • Bring along your business cards and brochures for our networking table
  • Beverages and refreshments will be provided during the break
  • RSVP by October 20th would be much appreciated--we want to have enough materials and snacks for everyone: nacf.hq@gmail.com 
Topics will focus on grantwriting as well as an introduction to a balanced fundraising plan including grants, donors, sponsorships, and special events. The training will be highly interactive with opportunities for participants to share experiences and ask questions. The workshop trainers will be Danette Olsen McCarthy and Patti Hurd. 

 

Danette Olsen McCarthy: Danette is a successful fundraiser and adjunct faculty member for the University of St. Thomas fundraising certificate program. Olsen’s background in both the private and nonprofit sectors grounds her in the important work of examining earned and contributed revenue streams for nonprofit organizations. 
 



Patti Hurd: Nonprofit Consultant, Grantwriter and NACF board member. For over 30 years, Patti has worked with nonprofit social service organizations and government agencies, both domestically and internationally. Patti currently provides Management Support Services and grant writing for several nonprofit organizations.  Patti and her husband are food vendors at the Siren Farmer’s Market and she is actively involved in Healthy Burnett and Ruby's Food Shelf and Garden. Throughout her work experience, Patti has enjoyed developing services that have improved the lives of families.
