After 100 years of technological advances at APG, a legacy will continue to grow thanks to the ACCA and APG Centennial Gala!

For 100 years, the people of Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) have dedicated themselves to developing, testing, and fielding world-changing technology. The contributions of Aberdeen Proving Ground and its workforce have been significant not only in defense of our nation, but also to society as a whole – computing, the Internet, artificial respiration, high-speed photography, and much more. Many of the technological advances first developed at APG for military application, have found their way into the everyday lives of our citizens. The APG Centennial Celebration Association (ACCA), a 501(c)(3), was formed to help conduct this year-long observance. ACCA’s long-term goal is to create a permanent APG Discovery Center that will fill the void created by the movement of the U.S. Army Ordnance Museum at APG to Ft. Lee, VA. The APG Discovery Center will be a community asset designed to inspire education and innovation in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) for students of all ages. This Discovery and Education Center will feature displays and demonstrations that engage and excite our community, especially our youth.
