THE REKON NEWSLETTER:

A QUARTERLY RECONNAISSANCE
The summer brought us sun, relaxation and San Diego Comic Con. But it also ushered in a brand new mission statement for ReKon Productions. After 8 years, we took a moment to re-focus and really identify and articulate our purpose and why we exist.

The New ReKon Mission Statement
We believe
in the Power of Story, to evoke feeling, inspire thought, and influence change.
We believe Story is a journey and we as Storytellers are the guides.
We create Stories fueled by inclusion and collaboration.
We create Story through production, unconstrained by media, genre, or technology.
We tell our Stories to immerse and transport audiences across time, space, and memory.
We tell others’ Stories by providing knowledge and resources to allow creators to unlock their imagination.
We are ReKonWe share Stories.

We unveiled our new mission statement in July on our website. After countless conversations on a journey of self-discovery, ReKon Productions boiled down to one phrase, our purpose and our why. We are ReKon. We share Stories.

Out on the festival run, Shelby's Vacation has gotten into five film festivals around the country in California, North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana and Florida. The next local screening will be at the Lady Filmmakers Festival in Beverly Hills on October 1st, followed up by a screening at the Emerging Spirits Center in Ventura on October 7th.

We just finished up our Second Annual #SummerAudibleBookClub social media engagement campaign. From our producers, directors and studio managers the team picked a wide range of audiobooks from biographies to radio plays over the months of June to September. Check out all the picks now up on the website.

The summer included farewells to some of the ReKon Team. Director of Business Development, Jillian Stein and Social Media Specialist, Samuel Ashe have moved on to new opportunities. We wish them both the best of luck in all their endeavors.
But with endings always come new beginnings and the ReKon team has plenty of new faces. Over the summer, Hailey Weyer and Hannah Pajo-Hickley, both previous ReKon Interns, are now part of the team as our new executive assistants.  In September we added our new Director of Client Relationships, Donna Sole to the ReKon Team.

During the Fall Months, ReKon Productions has many ways for each of you to be involved with our story! For friends, clients and collaborators that might be stopping by in November, stay tuned for information about our ReKon Kan Drive.

For anyone that loves receiving Holiday Cards via Snail Mail. Be sure to watch out for address requests from our Client Service Team to be sure you're on our list!
