Sukkot
Please join us in the TNS sukkah during Sukkot. Erev Sukkot begins Wednesday October 5. The sukka will be built and open for everyone. There will be a set of Lulav and Etrog at the Temple which you can use to shake.
Erev Simcha Torah
We will have an Erev Simcha Torah service on Thursday October 12 at 6 pm. Please bring the kids too! There will be dancing with the Torah, reading the last chapter of the Torah, and then rolling back to the beginning in Breishit. We hope to see you there!
TNS Book Club Announcement

Dear TNS Book Club followers:

I have always suggested that Columbus must have been Jewish.
Recent (2012) studies prove without a doubt he was a Marrano, hiding his Jewish identity by presenting as a Catholic.  The article below details thestudies' conclusions.

There is more than a coincidence in the events of 1492, namely the expulsion of Jews from Spain and the sailing of Columbus.
Now we can learn more about the escape of Jews from Spain to the New World in a fascinating work, Jewish Pirates of the Caribbean, by Edward Kritzler. Its available on Kindle for $5.38 or used from $2.55.  Short read and lots of fascinating explanations of how Jews came to New York, Amsterdam, England and parts of the Caribbean.  It has a very little about pirates and very much about Jewish escape from Spain to the New World.

Let's try for Wednesday October 25at TNS at 6:00 for our next TNS Book Club meeting.
